According to journalist Charles Watts, Arsenal are preparing to sell one of Gabriel Martinelli or Leandro Trossard in order to raise funds for a new signing this summer. In his Daily Briefing for Caughtoffside, Watts mentioned, “It wouldn’t surprise me if we see one big sale at Arsenal this summer. There will be plenty of departures, but by ‘big sale’ I mean one of the established first-team players who have been key under Mikel Arteta over the past two seasons.” Watts suggested that Trossard is the more likely of the two to be sold if a good offer comes in.
